Maintenance and Yard Helper-Mechanic                         

Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of department vehicles as well as yard maintenance activities. Miscellaneous repairs and preventative maintenance on department vehicles as needed.  This includes but is not limited to diagnosing meter and pump malfunctions, general electrical, pm service, light replacement, tire inflation/replacement, hose and nozzle replacement.  Will attend monthly equipment reviews and make recommendations for repair, replacement of department vehicles. Equipment includes 28 fuel oil and propane delivery trucks, 3 tractors and 6 tanker trailers and approximately 10 service vehicles consisting of pick ups, company cars a dump truck and backhoe. 

Work Schedule

This is a  seasonal full time position 30-40+  hours/week typically Monday thru Friday, however some Saturdays and evening hours will be necessary.  Hours will be adjusted during heating season to accommodate vehicle availability.

 Skills Required

  • Mechanically inclined and capable to make basic electrical and mechanical repairs on heavy trucks and equipment. 
  • Good industry knowledge of commercial motor vehicle air, brake and lighting systems.
  • Applicant will have adequate mechanical and teamwork experience.
  • Ideal applicant will have experience in facility upkeep and maintenance. 
  • Must understand cost controls with a commitment to “SAFETY FIRST.”

Part Time Yard Help

Looking for Yard Helper to assist our Residential Heating Oil Delivery department in maintaining our facilities.  Tasks such as: snow removal, yard work, inventory control, light maintenance, cleaning, power washing, painting.

Seeking a person to sell in the upper Howard County and lower Baltimore county area.  May be ideal for someone who has had a real estate license and real estate sales experience. Training provided.
